Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Connect-A-Pro is operated by Vincent Loxotn. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect, why we use it, and when it may be disclosed.

Information we collect

For homeowner project requests, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, project address and ZIP code, project description, service type, timing, property type, preferred first-contact method, best contact time, project photos, phone-verification records, project-status activity, consent records, and information about how you reached the site such as referral or campaign information. We may also process limited technical, security, and anti-abuse information needed to protect the service.

For contractor applicants and accounts, we may collect business and contact information, service areas and trade preferences, account credentials, licensing and insurance information, credential attestations and review records, payment and refund references, lead-purchase history, contact-attempt evidence, policy acceptances, and account-security records.

If you contact support or submit a privacy request, we may collect your name, email address, request category, project or purchase reference if you provide one, and the message you send so we can respond and document the request.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, full payment-card numbers, medical information, account passwords, or other sensitive information that is not requested for the service.

How we use information

We use information to verify project requests and contractor accounts, operate and secure the marketplace, determine project availability, connect homeowners with participating contractors, process and document lead purchases and refunds, prevent fraud and abuse, provide customer support, send service-related communications, maintain required records, analyze service performance, and improve Connect-A-Pro.

Paid lead disclosure and sharing with contractors

Homeowner contact details and private project photos are not shown in the open contractor marketplace. If one participating contractor validly obtains the project lead, that contractor pays Connect-A-Pro a lead fee for access and may receive the homeowner's contact information, address, project details, and private project photos needed to discuss the requested work. In other words, Connect-A-Pro receives payment for providing that one contractor access to the project lead. This disclosure is limited to the requested project and is not a general-purpose sale or distribution of homeowner information for unrelated marketing.

Contractors are prohibited by our Terms from reselling the lead, adding homeowner information to unrelated marketing lists, or using the information for unrelated marketing. We may also disclose information to service providers that help us operate hosting, database, payment processing, email, texting, verification, storage, security, analytics, fraud prevention, and support functions, subject to their role in providing those services.

Communications and contact choices

Homeowners may receive service-related verification, project-status, and contractor-connection communications from Connect-A-Pro. The homeowner requests project-related contact from the one participating contractor that obtains the project lead by phone call, individually sent text message, or email, subject to applicable do-not-call and contact laws. The homeowner's selected contact method is treated as the preferred first-contact method. Because the contractor is not identified when the project is submitted, Connect-A-Pro does not represent the general project-consent record as seller-specific written permission for a future contractor to disregard a Do Not Call Registry restriction.

Project-contact permission does not authorize unrelated marketing or automated/prerecorded sales outreach by the contractor. A contractor that wants to use automated, prerecorded, artificial-voice, or similar regulated outreach must independently obtain and document any additional consent required by law. A homeowner may tell Connect-A-Pro or the contractor to stop further contractor contact at any time. Contractors are required by our Terms to honor that request promptly and to independently comply with applicable contact laws.

Contractors may separately opt in to optional SMS lead alerts and can turn those alerts off in account preferences. Message and data rates may apply to text messages.

Mobile information and SMS consent

We do not sell or disclose SMS opt-in records or text-message consent to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. A homeowner's phone number may be included in the paid project lead disclosed to the one participating contractor that obtains the lead, because that number is part of the contact information the homeowner supplied for the requested project. That contractor is prohibited from using the number for unrelated marketing.

Cookies and browser storage

Connect-A-Pro uses strictly necessary browser storage for security and account functions. Contractor and administrator sign-in use secure session cookies needed to keep an authenticated session. A homeowner who opens a private project-status link may have the private access token stored temporarily in that browser tab's session storage so the token can be removed from the visible address bar while the status page remains usable.

Connect-A-Pro does not currently use third-party advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral-advertising cookies. First-party product and security events may be recorded on our server to understand service use, diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve the marketplace. If our tracking practices materially change, this policy and any legally required controls will be updated before those practices are used.

Payments

Payment processing is handled by our payment provider. Connect-A-Pro keeps transaction references and records needed for purchases, refunds, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, and support; the service is not designed to store full payment-card numbers.

Retention

We retain information only as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain security, document consent and contact authorization, meet accounting or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent fraud or abuse. Unsold projects that are closed or expired are scheduled for contact-detail, free-text, and private-photo removal after 90 days when there is no completed, disputed, or in-review purchase tied to that homeowner. Routine sent-notification records are generally removed after 30 days and product analytics after 90 days.

Consent records, contractor contact-attempt evidence, purchase/refund records, ledger entries, disputes, security records, and audit records may be retained longer. Where Florida telemarketing law requires a two-year contact or express-request record, Connect-A-Pro may retain the relevant evidence for at least that period. Where the federal Telemarketing Sales Rule applies, covered telemarketing call, consent, do-not-call, and related compliance records may be retained for at least five years as required by the current rule. Records may also be retained longer when reasonably necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, legal claims, compliance, or enforcement of our Terms.

Security and breach response

We use administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and restricted handling of private project data. No online system can guarantee absolute security. If a security incident triggers a legal notification obligation, we will provide notices as required by applicable law.

Your choices

You may ask Connect-A-Pro support about correcting or deleting information, subject to records we must retain for legitimate business, security, payment, consent, dispute, accounting, or legal reasons. Homeowners can use their private project-status link to manage an active project and may tell Connect-A-Pro or the participating contractor to stop further contractor contact about the project. A stop request does not prevent us from retaining evidence that the request was made or records that must reasonably be preserved.

Children

Connect-A-Pro is intended for adults. Homeowner project submissions and contractor accounts are limited to persons who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly request project submissions from children under 18.
